In preparation for your externally moderated unit i would like you to start researching the composition and production techniques relevant to your chosen style of music
You will need to create a playlist of reference tracks, and then start some online research to find out as much as you can about the genre
This should include common composition methods (instrumentation, structure, arrangement, lyrical content, playing styles etc) and production methods (recording techniques and approaches, signature equipment etc)
A good way to approach this might be to listen to the 5 tracks and make a list of all of the things that the 5 tracks have in common - tempo/instruments used/programming or recording methods etc.
This will give you a good starting point for your planning
Please remember this will form part of your submission, so you should approach this as if it were a written assignment.
