90 Credit Diploma Music Technology - Sequencing Task

I would like you to create a short piece of music using apple loops.

Think of the first track we made together - this will give you a basic structure to work to.

The piece should be 32 - 48 bars long, and have at least two alternate sections.

Try and make the piece interesting by thinking about transitions from one section to another, and try and include some variation in repeated sections.

I would also like you to document the process. You should choose a style you intend to work in, ensure you are working at a suitable tempo, and use instruments appropriate to the genre you have chosen.

Please explain what your intention was, and include some screenshots of your tracks area, and mixer, to show any processing you have used.

Here is a screenshot of a basic track that would meet the requirements. It is recommended that you follow this structure, but the genre you choose is up to you.

I have coloured the repeated sections so you can see the structure.

There is a 4 bar intro, 8 bar Section A, 4 bar Section B, 8 bar Section A, 4 bar Section B, 4 bar Section A, and a short outro.

This is not a test of your musicality or production skills, but is intended to see if you can make a simple piece, following a basic structure, and document the process accordingly.

I will go through your work in class tomorrow to see how you got on.

Good luck
